Ardvreck Castle is located on Loch Assynt, Sutherland. The castle was built in the 15th century by the Mac Leods of Assynt and is hard to miss when driving through this area. Definitely worth stopping to explore and get photos!

Ardvreck Castle is known for its intriguing history, from being used as a shelter of royalist James Graham, 1st Marquess of Montrose in 1650, to being attacked and captured by Clan Mackenzie in 1672.
