Message from Tom & Laura

Famous for those travelling from Land's End in Cornwall to John o' Groats, this small village has symbolic value. The John o' Groats House Hotel, established in 1875, is a famous landmark which stands as a reminder of the Dutchman Jan de Groot, who once was known to charge one groat for ferrying passengers between the nearby Orkney Islands and Scotland.

The village is full of picturesque views.
