Ko Pha Ngan is renowned for its monthly Full Moon Party, but it's much more than that. It's now a popular destination for backpackers, dropouts and yogis, but also individual travelers and luxury vacationers. In addition to the many beautiful picture book beaches, you will find a really impressive offer of unique things to do in Koh Phangan, including visiting tropical waterfalls, picturesque temples, deep jungle and breathtaking viewpoints. You can easily spend weeks here, so here are my favorite photography locations of the island, starting with Haad Rin beach (see above), home of the full moon party!

• Haad Rin is a beautiful white sand beach during the day and the biggest party at night.

• Thong Nai Pan Beach is my favorite, as it's very picturesque and quiet. Not far, you can also check bottle beach viewpoint for the best view on the island.

• Leela beach is just a walk away from Haad Rin, but much quieter and very beautiful with its wooden bridge promenade.

• Haad Salad and Haad Yao are also 2 good choices for drinks on the beach and sunsets.

• For the best sunset, I'd choose Three sixty bar which has the best view. Another good choice would be Bluerama.

• Mae head beach (see above) and Malibu beach are also 2 good choices especially from a drone point of view.

• 2 other interesting photo spots would be the beer pagoda, a temple made entirely with beer bottles! And Le Palais, an abandoned hotel looking like Angkor Wat! Very cool if you don't get caught (it's a private property).
