Delft is known for its canals, cobbled streets, and historic buildings, and much more quiet than Amsterdam, for example.
Also home to the Delft University of Technology, the oldest and largest technical university in the Netherlands, and to the Royal Delft pottery factory, which produces the famous Delft Blue pottery.
The city is a popular tourist destination, with many attractions such as the Nieuwe Kerk, the Prinsenhof Museum, the Oude Kerk and many quaint facades and cute bridges over the canals.
