This is it, my absolute favourite spot on Dartmoor, Leather Tor. With panoramic views of the forests and Burrator Reservoir below, it has to be the most stunning view on the moors. With its towering granite rocks and alpine trees, it's like something out of a fairytale.

Getting here is not the most simple thing to explain. If you put Leather Tor in your GPS, it will take you down a very narrow and somewhat uneven road which will lead to a small area you can park your car. From here you’ll be able to see the tor and simple follow the paths (with a bit of a scramble) until you reach the tor. Or, if you’re looking for a more simple and car friendly route, you put Sharpitor in your GPS and park in one of the car parks on the B3212 road. Walk to Sharpitor on the easy to spot track and once you reach this for, you’ll see Leather Tor below you, just a short walk away.

Everyone will need to be able to walk and scramble over a few rocks for this view point, but it’s perfect for those looking for a bit of adventure and epic views.
