Almannagjá is a rift valley located in Þingvellir National Park in Iceland. It is a popular tourist destination due to its geological significance and its stunning views. The valley is a part of the Mid-Atlantic Ridge, where the North American and Eurasian tectonic plates meet. It is also the site of the world's oldest parliament, the Alþing, which was established in 930 AD.
