My favourite waterfall in NZ! A must stop if you are in the area.

Further Information: Whangarei Falls is a stunning waterfall located in the city of Whangarei, New Zealand's North Island. This picturesque fall plunges 26 meters over basalt cliffs into a naturally formed pool at the base of the Hatea River. Hikers can enjoy the beautiful view and have a lovely picnic at the base of the falls, or explore further and take the extended walk to AH Reed Memorial Park. This park has 500 year-old Kauri trees that are humongous, and it provides a wonderful opportunity for exploration and relaxation. Those visiting the falls should know that swimming in the pool is not recommended as there have been drownings in the past due to its current. For those looking for a truly breathtaking nature experience, look no further than Whangarei Falls!
