excellent road trip stop if you're travelling in this area.

Further Information: Completed in 1926, the Arapuni Suspension Bridge is an iconic structure connecting the village of Arapuni to the western side of the Waikato river gorge. Spanning an impressive 152.4 metres, this unique bridge is renowned for its striking design which features a high steel lattice tower on the true left and strong steel cables stretched over a timber decking, with a clearance below of 54m. Adding to the charm of this historic monument is the scenic surroundings of bush-lined gorges and volcanic rocks visible from either side. Visitors are sure to be enchanted by this one-of-a-kind suspension bridge that has been captivating passersby for generations!
