The Palácio da Bolsa is a historical landmark in the heart of Porto, Portugal. Built for the Commercial Association of the city in 19th century Neoclassical style, its exterior has been described as a combination of Palladian and Greek elements. Inside, visitors will be treated to gorgeously decorated ceilings, stairways and other features; notable highlights include the Moorish Revival Arab Room and the Nations' courtyard, which is covered by a large metal octagonal dome painted with the coats-of-arms of Portugal and its commercial partners at the time. With its mix of ancient and modern styles, the Palácio da Bolsa is both an important piece of Portuguese history and an architectural feast for the eyes.
