The Museu Condes de Castro Guimarães is a must-see for tourists visiting Cascais in Portugal! This Portuguese castle, built between 1897 and 1900, was first owned by an aristocrat of Irish descent. Later, it was turned into a museum in 1931. The collection inside includes Indo-Portuguese furniture, paintings, ceramics, as well as a large library containing 25,000 books. In the grand Neo-Gothic Hall, visitors can admire rare artifacts from the 19th and 20th centuries. Outside, they can visit the 16th-century chapel dedicated to St. Sebastien, or take a stroll around the fairytale grounds and discover a fountain ornamented with a baroque tile panel. Don't forget to take a dip in the crystal clear waters of the Santa Marta beach too!
