Boca do Inferno, or "Mouth of Hell" in English, is an awe-inspiring natural phenomenon located near Cascais, Portugal. Located along the coastline, this breathtaking cliff formation is famous for its tumultuous waters which crash through a cave system, spraying from an opening atop the cliffs. The site has also gained notoriety due to its connection with Aleister Crowley, infamous astrologer, magician, and occultist. In 1930, Crowley technically faked his own death at the scene, leaving behind a mysterious note written in mangled Portuguese that was deciphered by his friend Fernando Pessoa.
