Englishman River Falls is a fantastic place to photograph, whether you’re after big, dramatic waterfall shots or something more abstract. The suspension bridge gives you a unique angle over the rushing water, while different viewpoints along the trail open up new perspectives on the central falls and smaller cascades nearby. The big boulders scattered around make outstanding foreground elements, adding depth to your shots.
In winter, those same boulders get coated in ice, creating incredible textures and patterns for abstract photography. The walk between the upper and lower falls is just as rewarding, winding through a beautiful forest where the light filtering through the trees can make for some magical images.
If you want to make a full day of it, consider checking out Triple Falls, too—it’s not far from the park and adds even more variety to your shoot. Between the waterfalls and the quiet beauty of the forest, it’s an incredible spot to spend time with your camera.
