The Scott Monument is an impressive Victorian Gothic structure located in the city of Edinburgh, Scotland. It stands 200 feet high with viewing platforms at various heights that can be accessed by many spiral staircases, offering a remarkable view of the city's landscape. The statue of the great Scottish novelist, Sir Walter Scott, sits in the center of the monument, surrounded by 64 sculptures of characters from his novels which were all created by Scottish sculptors. Its unique Binny sandstone exterior was quarried nearby Ecclesmachan and built over the course of four years using the labor of nearly 30 stone masons. This awe-inspiring feat of architecture is sure to captivate anyone who visits it with its amazing stories and tranquil beauty.
