Message from Tartan Viking

Inverness is a picturesque town located in the Scottish Highlands. With its rudimentary beginnings predating 6500 BC, Inverness has rich, varied history awaiting discovery. It played an important part in Scotland's story - from standing firm against Viking invasion to the battle of Culloden and many Battles of Blàr nam Fèinne. Since 2000, it has held city status in recognition of its significance in the Scottish Highlands, as a thriving capital and centre for The Highland Council.
