Sendero Río Majaceite is a popular hiking trail in Sierra de Grazalema Nature Park, Cádiz, Spain. This 5.4-mile out-and-back route follows a crystal-clear stream from Benamahoma to El Bosque, offering plenty of spots to relax by the water or take in the surrounding nature. With a moderate level of difficulty, it's a great option for a family outing, especially during the warmer months when wildflowers are in bloom. Just remember, no swimming or camping allowed along the river!

Length: 4.4 km

Duration: 2 hours

Difficulty: Low

It's a pleasant walk from El Bosque to Benamahoma, accompanied by the Majaceite River, also known as the Estuary of El Bosque, and home to elusive otters. We'll discover an excellent gallery forest; poplars, ash trees, and elms, and observe attempts to harness the watercourse to generate energy, such as mills and the Eléctrica de la Sierra, an old power station. Highly recommended is a visit to the Benamahoma Mill Ecomuseum. 🌿🚶‍♂️🏞️
