In the lands of Cadiz, where the horizon undulates, olive fields stretch out, and the slopes are discreetly tinged with white, rise the monumental Olvera Castle and the Church of Our Lady of the Incarnation 🏰⛪. Both guard a beacon of light at 640 meters above sea level, making Olvera an excellent viewpoint of the Sierra de Cadiz 🏞️. In the primitive city center lies the neighborhood of La Villa, with its characteristic labyrinthine layout and stretches of walls that recall its Andalusian past 🏘️. From the Town Hall square, one can exit through an arch attached to Calzada Street, which leads down a stepped ramp to the spacious church square. On one side, Our Lady of the Incarnation, on the other, the castle, and in the middle, a sea of mountains and olive fields that produce the Sierra de Cadiz Designation of Origin olive oil 🌿.

The perception of the surroundings improves even more when you reach the church's viewpoint, atop which the neoclassical construction stands 🏛️. In the square, you'll also find the "Cilla" building, which was used as a granary and prison and now houses the headquarters of the Frontier and Castles Museum 🏰. Just a stone's throw away is the 12th-century Muslim fortress where the keep and the cistern still stand. 🏰
