The Castle of La Mota, located in Medina del Campo, Spain, is a medieval fortress perched on a hill overlooking the town. Built in the 14th and 15th centuries, it features a large outer barbican, towers, and a square keep tower. Throughout its history, the castle changed hands between rival kings and served as a prominent prison for notable figures like Cesare Borgia. Today, it is a protected cultural site and a must-visit for history buffs looking to explore its rich past and stunning architecture.

Opening times: From Monday to Saturday 11:00-14:00 and 16:00-18:00 (at 19:00 during summer)

Sundays and bank holidays from 11:00-14:00
