Message from Tartan Viking

Arthur's Seat is a stunning 251 metre tall hill located in Edinburgh, Scotland. It was first believed to have been formed by volcanic system of early Carboniferous age and was most likely used as a center of power by the Votadini people. Today it provides magnificent panoramic views of the city and beyond, while also being an immensely popular destination for hillwalking. Notable features include the remains of an Iron Age Hill Fort, a series of cultivation terraces and the controversial 'Arthur's Seat Coffins,' a set of 17 miniature wooden coffins which were found in a cave - the disproportionate male figures sparking theories of witchcraft or even connection with the notorious Burke & Hare murders!
