Pilgrims passing through Molinaseca 🏞️ along the Jacobean Route 🚶‍♂️ enjoy a glorious entrance to this village by crossing the Roman bridge over the Meruelo River 🌉. Surrounded by the green hills of Bierzo 🌿, its medieval atmosphere can be felt along Calle Real, which leads to the historic center, declared a Historic-Artistic Site 🌟. Shaded streets with overhanging galleries and some manor houses accompany visitors to one of the most iconic images of Molinaseca: the Church of San Nicolás de Bari ⛪. Situated on a small hill that seems to highlight its Baroque features even more, it is said that the ringing of this 17th-century building's bells at noon is one of the most distinctive in the area 🔔. A succulent plate of cecina in Plaza del Santo Cristo or Plaza García Rey adds the perfect finishing touch to this visit 🍽️.
