The Pine Lake walk is one of Tassie's '60 Great Short Walks' and for good reason! This is one of the easiest ways to see Tasmania's rarest tree - the Pencil Pine.

Walk to the edge of the alpine lake along a boardwalk, among these ancient trees and bushes of the highlands.

The central plateau is an area often overlooked by travelers doing the lap of Tassie, but if you have the time we would highly recommend checking out this special area.
