Quill Creek is a beautiful area you can explore in the winter and summer and is accessed it right from the road. You can walk along the creek bed for as far as you'd like (you may have to cross braided sections of the creek, avoid going in any deep water). There's an unmarked trail along the left bank in the direction towards Kathleen Peak/Mt Martha Black (the big mountains) that you can follow as well. In the winter, you can snowshoe along the frozen creek. Stay close to the sides away from the ice nearest to the moving water.

📍 Directions: Heading from Haines Junction on the Haines Highway towards Haines Alaska. Follow the road for around 9 min (12.7 km) and you will see a small gravel pullout on the right side of the road after the Quil Creek sign. You can park here or follow the off-road just slightly further.

Don't fly drones in this area it's within Kluane National Park and Reserve and you can be heavily fined.
