This southern Yukon is famously known for it's vibrant jewel toned colored water that will have you reaching for your camera. There's a pullout right off of the highway that you won't miss. It offers beautiful views of Emerald Lake and it's surrounding mountains.

If you're feeling adventurous there's a very steep trail directly across the highway that you can get a unique vantage point from.

šŸ“In the summer: The views are especially beautiful on a calm sunny day if you can time it right. You can get down to the lake in a hidden parking lot to get out for a swim or paddle (see "Emerald Lake Swim Spot" for more info)

šŸ“ In the Winter: The lake freezes up pretty soon around the end of October and thaws in early May. While it may be frozen it's still a beautiful view point worth stopping at and getting some photos.
