Message from Graziano e Federica

Ayaz-Kala is an ancient archaeological site in Uzbekistan, boasting three fortresses built between the 4th century BCE and the 7th century CE. These fortresses were strategically placed at the edge of the Kyzylkum Desert to defend against nomadic raids. Ayaz Kala 1, dating back to the 4th or 3rd century BCE, served as a lookout post, while Ayaz Kala 2, from the 6th to 8th century CE, was a feudal fortress with a palace-like structure. Ayaz Kala 3, a fortified garrison from the 1st to 2nd century CE, showcases monumental buildings and extensive defensive walls.
