Message from Tartan Viking

Ashton Lane is a vibrant cobbled backstreet in the West End of Glasgow, Scotland. It is a popular destination, featuring various bars, restaurants and a licensed cinema. The area became the focus of West End cafe culture in the 1970s. Previously a run-down area of small residential and commercial buildings, the area was revitalized with the relocation of the renowned Ubiquitous Chip restaurant in 1976 and subsequent businesses, such as the Grosvenor Café. Today the lane is home to an inspiring collection of bars, restaurants, galleries and shops, making it a popular destination for tourists and locals alike.
