Marmorslottet, also known as the Marble Castle, is a natural wonder in Norway. Just a 45 minute drive away from Mo i Rana, followed by a half-hour hike mostly along a boardwalk makes for a spectacular journey. You will be stunned by the magnificent marble rock formations carved out over thousands of years by the river Glomåga. The intensely blue water flows out of Svartisen, Norway's second largest glacier.

(REMEMBER TO TAKE OF YOUR SHOES WHEN YOU WALK ON THE MARBLE, SO IT CAN KEEP ITS BEAUTIFUL COLOURS)

A detour down to Melfjorden, one of Norway's most beautiful fjords, is another great stop before going on to visit the 11 meter tall granite statue of a man gazing out into the fjord in Mo i Rana. Marmorslottet is an essential part of any Northern Norway itinerary.
