The Nejjarine Museum of Wooden Arts & Crafts is a top tourist destination in Medina, Fez, Morocco. It is located in an early-18th-century funduq (inn used by caravans) and showcases woodwork from across Morocco, including doors, prayer beads and musical instruments. Many displays feature both Amazigh traditional styles and the more Andalusian designs of Fez, as well as whimsical patchworks on the worn wooden boards used by students of Quranic recitation. Visitors can take some time to relax at the rooftop cafe for great views of the medina, and photography is allowed in the courtyard and from the rooftop. It’s sure to be a highlight during any visit to Medina.
