Galleria Sciarra is a hidden Art Nouveau gem located in the heart of Rome. Built in the late 19th century for the wealthy, influential Sciarra family, this opulent courtyard was intended to be a shopping mall but was never completed. Nowadays, visitors enter a world of stunning frescoes, draped in beautiful colors and illuminated by sunlight and moonlight alike. Every inch of the four-story walls is adorned with vivid depictions of women in various stages of life, plus intricate curls and flowers painted by Giuseppe Cellini. It's an unforgettable sight, and worthy of explore even if you're just a few steps away from the city's most famous sites.
