Charming fishing village in Aberdeen

Message from Tartan Viking

Footdee, also known as Fittie, is a charming area in Aberdeen, Scotland that used to be an old fishing village. Despite its name possibly coming from a dedication to "St. Fittick" rather than the Dee River, it has a rich history dating back to Medieval times. With cute houses and gardens, Footdee is a picturesque spot at the east end of Aberdeen Harbour. Plus, it made headlines when sea foam covered the village like a blanket of snow during a storm in 2012. Overall, Footdee is a quaint and historic gem worth exploring in Aberdeen.
