Epupa Falls is a majestic, spectacular series of waterfalls located on the border of Angola and Namibia in the Kaokoland region. Spanning 1.5 kilometers, the largest single drop is 37 meters in height. Due to its steep, riparian habitat, Epupa Falls is a locus of endemism- containing a variety of fish as well as other aquatic species. The beautiful landscape is framed by fig trees, baobabs, makalani palms, and colorful rock walls, creating a truly unspoiled environment for visitors. With lodges such as Kapika Waterfall Lodge, Omarunga Camp Lodge, Epupa Camp Lodge, and Epupa Falls Campsite Lodge accommodating tourists, the area offers a range of activities from whitewater rafting to birdwatching and exploration of Himba villages.
