Brescia is a city located in the region of Lombardy, in Northern Italy. It's just an hour trip from Milan (one way regional train ticket price is about €8).

It has many interesting sights like:
Piazza della Loggia: a stunning Renaissance square with the Palazzo della Loggia, the town hall.

Santa Giulia Museum: Another UNESCO World Heritage site, it has incredible exhibits from Roman, Lombard, and medieval times.
Brescia Castle: A medieval fortress located on Cidneo Hill, from here you can enjoy stunning panoramic views of the city and explore the museum inside.
Old and New Cathedrals (Duomo Vecchio & Duomo Nuovo): The Duomo Vecchio (Rotonda) is a rare circular Romanesque church, while the Duomo Nuovo is grand and baroque.
