Serra Moresca, the Italian term for Moorish Greenhouse, is an architectural marvel and a hidden gem of Villa Torlonia, the atypical park in Rome. Following the architecture of Spanish Alhambra, the greenhouse was built and decorated to represent the places Ludovico Ariosto mentioned in his Orlando Furioso.

It features bright glass windows with mirrors and polychrome motifs surrounding its borders which lead to a lovely garden of exotic plants and trees.

Serra Moresca is the perfect place for someone that wants to explore uncommon places in Rome and it's a charming corner of the city.

The ticket to visit Serra Moresca costs €5, but if you plan to visit more places inside Villa Torlonia, I recommend the ticket "Biglietto integrato Casino Nobile + Casina delle Civette + Serra Moresca", which also includes 2 other places and it costs €11.50 (€9.5 reduced).

Serra Moresca is opened from Tuesday to Sunday from 9 am to 7 pm.
