Wat Chedi Luang (above and previous page), right in the center. It's the oldest temple in Chiang Mai and one of the most famous. It's best to visit during sunset when the top of the ruins become orange, or of course during Loy Khratong surrounded by thousands of lanterns. It's not possible to launch drone above all Chiang Mai Old city, as it's a no fly zone due to the airport not far. Near Wat Chedi Luang you can find the famous night market "Tha Phae sunday walking street" with great street food. Do not miss the famous Khao Soi (chicken curry noodles), it's my favorite thai dish! And I also recommend El Barrio Lanna, a hotel very close and very nice. (especially the Lanna signature room)
