Wat Muang is the pride of Ang Thong province. It is today the 7th largest statue in the world and the largest in Thailand. With his 95 m high, there is no doubt that it is imposing. However, the temple is not just about the big Buddha, there's also a garden with hellish statues, and a hall of mirrors with silver monks images. But the real thing here is to touch the finger of the buddha which will give in you good luck. The photo from there is truly impressive.

If you're around Lopburi or Ayutthaya, this is a must do, and there's not many tourists there. I'll advice you to find a hotel nearby so you can enjoy it at sunrise and sunset for some spectacular photos!
