Cascata da Ribeira Grande is Flores Island's tallest waterfall, plunging 180 meters down a sheer cliff into the wild Grande River. Unlike its more popular neighbor, Cascata da Ribeira do Ferreiro, this waterfall doesn't have a pool at the bottom. To reach it, you'll need to tackle a slightly challenging hike along a rocky path marked by stone cairns, but the stunning views and raw power of the waterfall make it totally worth it. Just make sure to wear sturdy shoes and be prepared for some rock hopping along the way!
