Papadiamandis is a cozy restaurant located in Faja Grande, offering a mix of seafood, Mediterranean, and Portuguese cuisine. Nestled right in the heart of Fajã Grande, this spot offers unbeatable views of the waterfalls and the vast Atlantic Ocean, it's the perfect spot to enjoy a meal while watching the sunset, making it a favorite that fills up fast. As one of the two westernmost restaurants in Europe, it carries a unique history, named after the Liberian ship Papadiamandis that wrecked while sailing from New Orleans to Hamburg in 1965.

Wondering what to eat?

The menu features traditional Azorean dishes, as well as pasta, pizza, and burgers. I went for the fish, but honestly, everything on the menu seems delicious. Expect to pay around €15 for a main dish, €1.20 for a beer, and €15 for a bottle of Azorean wine from Pico.
