Miradouro Lagoas Rasa e Funda is a viewpoint on Flores Island in the Azores, Portugal. From this vantage point, you can simultaneously view two calderas: Lagoa Rasa and Lagoa Funda. "Lagoa" means "lake" in Portuguese, and the names translate to "Shallow Lake" (Lagoa Rasa) and "Deep Lake" (Lagoa Funda). Lagoa Rasa is about 40 meters deep, while Lagoa Funda reaches depths of around 100 meters. The two lakes are situated at different elevations, which creates distinct views and contributes to the variation in water color and surrounding vegetation. The difference in depth, mineral content, and plant life affects their appearance. The viewpoint offers stunning panoramas and is an excellent spot for watching the sunset.
