If you're staying overnight in the Muttseehütte or would like to hike a bit more to be literally in the middle of nowhere (except Swiss magnificent nature) - go ahead with the hike to Kistenpass. This place is still not very known nor popular - it also requires some hiking effort. The hike takes around 2h from Muttseehütte (follow the signs next to the hut). The hike may comprise technical, difficult or hazardous terrain. Specialist equipment and prior experience may be required - as we can read about this trail on official sites. I didn't have any special equipment except good hiking shoes / water / a cap to protect from the sun - however I do have some hiking experience so it was totally doable. You will arrive in Kistenpasshütte where you can enjoy some tea or coffee - just around the corner if you pass the hut, there are the stairs with tremendous view on the lake.
