Lavaux vineyards - a terraced wine-growing region being part of UNESCO World Heritage, that covers about 30km along the lake and is known for producing some of Switzerland's best wines, particularly Chasselas. The vineyards date back to the 11th century, and the terraces were built by hand over centuries using local stone. Besides being an attraction, Lavaux is also home to many excellent restaurants and wineries. There are several things to do when visiting Lavaux vineyards:

  1. Take a stroll along the terraced vineyards and marvel at the stunning views of Lac Léman and the Alps 2. Visit the many wineries dotted throughout the region and indulge in wine tastings, where you can try some of the best wines from the area. 3. Lavaux is home to many hiking trails ranging from easy to difficult, offering beautiful panoramic views of the region. 4. Take a boat ride on Lac Léman and admire the stunning views of Lavaux from the water.
