Colchuck Lake is a cool freshwater spot nestled in the Enchantments of Washington. It's about 15 miles from Leavenworth and sits pretty at an elevation of 5,570 feet above sea level. The lake has a masonry dam that helps control overflow, and it's managed by the Icicle and Peshastin Irrigation Districts for irrigation purposes. You can reach this gem by hiking a 4-mile trail that starts at Stuart and Culchuck Lake Trailhead. Just remember to grab your self-issued Alpine Lake Wilderness permit before you go exploring!
