2-3h
The Mount Fremont Lookout Trail in Mount Rainier National Park offers hikers a chance to step back in time to when watchmen kept an eye out for wildfires from the two-story cabin built in 1934. The 5.6-mile roundtrip hike with 1,100 feet of elevation gain leads to stunning views of Grand Park, Redstone Peak, and more. Don't forget your binoculars to spot mountain goats and black bears in the surrounding meadows! Just be sure to pack plenty of water and sun protection for the exposed sections of the trail.
