Satara Rest Camp is a popular destination for wildlife-watchers in Kruger National Park, South Africa. With red-roofed public buildings, thatched bungalows, and neat paths alongside lush green grass, the ambience of Satara Rest Camp reminds visitors of yesteryear's Africa. It is the third largest camp in the park and has been nicknamed the “cat camp” due to its rich habitats for the big cats - lion, leopard, and cheetah - which are often spotted roaming just outside the camp's perimeter. Visitors can choose from a variety of lodging options including guest houses, bungalows, and camp/caravan sites. For the self-catering traveler, there's a grocery store on-site, as well as restaurant, cafeteria, laundry service, and other amenities. Plus, picnicking facilities are available for day visitors. No matter when you visit, Satara Rest Camp promises to be a rewarding experience with plenty of natural beauty and wildlife to observe.
