Home to the largest concentration of Cape Malay culture, this multicultural neighborhood is also known for its brightly coloured homes and diverse population which includes Muslims, Indians, Coloureds, Filipinos, Africans, Portuguese, and Italians. In recent years, due to economic expansion, property in the Bo-Kaap has become highly sought after and a declaration of 19 sites as National Heritage means that the community can preserve its unique cultural and historical significance.
Note : there was a lot of homeless around, it didn't feel safe.
