Baan Dam Museum is a unique site in Chiang Rai, Thailand. Created by artist Thawan Duchanee, the museum is a collection of traditional northern Thai buildings and contemporary architecture spread out over 160,000 square meters of space. Visitors can explore various structures on the grounds, including the Cathedral (Art Museum Building), the small temple, the east pavilion, and the triangle house. Inside each building are exhibits of the artist’s works, including intricate carving, swan tails, balalee and tiered sculptures, and Lanna-style roofing. At Baan Dam Museum, visitors are sure to find a mix of cultural, artistic, and religious attractions.
