Teignmouth is a charming seaside town in Devon, England, known for its fishing port and picturesque setting on the River Teign estuary.
The area is perfect for a family holiday, with plenty to keep everyone entertained, from the Victorian Pier, a play park, skate park, crazy golf and lido. There are numerous beaches which is of course very important when taking a trip down to the coast. Teignmouth Town Beach is a long, sandy beach where you can try out some water sports like kayaking, paddle boarding and coasteering. Teignmouth River Beach has a quaint seaside village feel to it and is filled with fishing boats.
Teignmouth is a great base for walkers due to its location on the South West Coast Path, but not only that, it is the end point of Templer Way which is an 18 mile walking trail which traces the historic journey of granite being taken from Haytor Quarry to the Teignmouth docks, following the beautiful Stover Canal.
