Further information: The Marokopa Falls, located in the Waitomo District in New Zealand’s North Island, is an incredible and breathtaking natural attraction that visitors should not miss. With a 35 meter high waterfall surrounded by lush greenery and native bush, the majestic beauty of these flagstone falls create a powerful roar and misty atmosphere. There is a short 10-minute walk from the car park to the viewing platform, and for those looking for an added adventure, they can make their way down to the famed river via an unofficial path through the nearby forest. This stretch of waterfalls provides spiritual significance for the surrounding Maori population, as well as a chance for visitors to stretch their legs and take in the stunning views.
