Historic Victorian villas in Napier

Message from Ashley Elliott

The Six Sisters in Napier, New Zealand, are a row of charming weatherboarded villas on Marine Parade with a shared history. Built in the early 1900s by a doctor for his six daughters, these two-story timber houses have architectural significance as Victorian-style villas and are a rare reminder of Napier's pre-1931 earthquake streetscape. Over the years, they've housed everything from carpenters to cafes and now stand as beloved local landmarks, adding character to the city's coastal landscape.
