Mount Ruapehu is an active stratovolcano located on the North Island of New Zealand, within Tongariro National Park. Rising to the highest point in the North Island, It boasts 3 major peaks: Tahurangi (2,797 m), Te Heuheu (2,755 m), and Paretetaitonga (2,751 m). With its deep crater, Crater Lake (Te Wai ā-moe), Mount Ruapehu is a sight to behold and a popular destination for hikers and skiers alike. Its glaciers and rivers provide fascinating hydrological resources as well, while its polar tundra climate brings breathtaking views of snow-covered slopes. With various access routes leading to its skifields, Mount Ruapehu is an adventurous and exciting place to explore.
