The Church of Our Lady the Most Glorious, also known by its second name Saint Clement (Sveti Kliment), is a 13th-century Byzantine church located in Ohrid, North Macedonia. The church was built by Byzantine military commander Perthession Zgur during Emperor Andronicus II Paleologus's reign. It has an inscribed cross shape and is decorated with astounding frescoes created by the medieval painters, Eutihije and Michael, which provide visitors with a unique insight into the culture and art of the period. This church has been host to hundreds of pilgrims from around the world who come to witness its beauty and serenity for themselves. Whether visiting Ohrid or simply looking for a spiritual retreat, Saint Clement should be on any traveler’s list.
