**Learn about the Gods, why Athena was mad at Hephestus? Why Athenias never built a temple for Ares? **
The Ancient Agora of Athens is one of the most iconic structures from the ancient world. It was an assembly, commercial and residential gathering place dating back to the 6th century BC, and it played a major role in the life of the Athenians for centuries. Its richly decorated buildings were set with famous works of art created by marble-workers.
These monuments included the Stoa of Attalos – now a well-known museum - and the Temple of Hephaestus, as well as a number of shrines and memorials. Despite its long history, the Agora remains to this day an interesting reminder of the glory days of Ancient Greece, and a must-see destination for anyone visiting Athens.
