14:30: Check out the Roman Agora of Athens! Use your combo ticket to get in.
The Roman Agora of Athens, located in the northeastern part of the city, is the perfect spot for any history buff!
Built in the early 1st century AD, it was funded by Caesar and Augustus as a fulfillment of Julius Caesar’s promise dating back to 51BC.
This area served as an open square bordered with a peristyle and featured a fountain to the south of it. It also contained several gates, marble colonnades for shops, and even public toilets. The Roman Agora is definitely a sight to see for anyone interested in the city’s ancient past.
